Species and rivers
There are almost endless lakes and rivers in Iceland that hold fish in great numbers but some are more exclusive then others. We offer 
fishing in lakes and ponds all around the island at a low cost but offering vast numbers of fish and so a good chance of a nice catch. The species in most lakes in Iceland are Arctic Char and Brown Trout ranging from 1 – 20 pounds in size. We provide you with a card that grants you permit to fish in 35 lakes all around Iceland.
We have good access to one of the best Arctic Char rivers in Iceland and recommend booking early as permits sell out fast! For the brown trout we offer fishing in the Laxá in Mývatnssveit river, an anglers paradise. For those who want to fish for the Atlantic Salmon we offer access to some of the most exclusive salmon rivers in Iceland including the Ormarsá River with lodging. This rivar has been privately rented for the past 10 years and unavailable to the public during that time.
Preparation is the key
We want to keep our Icelandic rivers clean and free of parasites so having your gear disinfected is vital. Anglers can have this taken care 
of prior to their arrival in Iceland or at Secutitas Offices in Keflavik International Airport for the cost of approx $60 per rod and accessories. This process takes around 30 minutes.
