About your day

In the morning you take a flight from Reykjavík to Kulusuk located on Greenland’s beautiful East Coast. The flight takes only 90 minutes and on a clear day you can see icebergs from above. A helicopter brings you from Kulusuk to Tasiilaq which is only 20 kilometers away. Have a look at your hotel and explore the charming town in the afternoon. We recommend to visit the Ammassalik Museum located in the town‘s old church. The museum has a collection of traditional artifacts ranging from Kayaks to wooden masks. Enjoy the colorful Greenlandic houses and have a look at the small harbor in the city center. Interesting is also a visit of the local supermarket. In the evening you will have a welcome dinner in the restaurant of your accommodation.

About your day

Today it is time to say good bye to the little town Tasiilaq dominated by the ice cap and steep mountain ranges. In the morning you can stroll for a last time around the city. Everywhere you will see the Greenland dogs which are so important for the locals especially during winter time. A boat brings you from Tasiilaq back to the airport in Kulusuk and you can enjoy once more the huge and impressive icebergs. Enjoy a hot dog in the airport (yes, Greenland belongs to Denmark), get a stamp in your passport and fly back to Reykjavik – hopefully with many unforgettable memories and some great photos.
